Bring out your dead

In the UK after some cold weather when many ponds froze over warmer weather has now seen the ice melting.

Have you seen anything dead following the ice melting?

Frogs, beetles, dragonflies, newts? Anything at all.

Post your observations below.

PS I’ve so far seen a handful of dead mayflies and lesser water boatmen – but the ice hasn’t completely melted yet on my pond.

I did notice through the ice the other night a chaser dragonfly walking by in 2 degrees C water.
