Golden-ringed dragonfly laying her eggs in a garden pond

Golden-ringed Dragonflies are usually a strictly river animal that doesn’t use ponds

But it turns out that this isn’t always the case.

And as this picture shows they’re obviously frustrated pondies at heart!

This one is trying to lay eggs in a small garden pond in Devon.
