Garden pond birds: Grey Wagtail

Grey Wagtail

Grey Wagtail

I read on the blog of Helen (Frog End Wildlife) today that:

“Just a few minutes ago a grey wagtail flew over the house, into the back garden and had a drink at the pond. It stayed for only about 2 minutes and it made me wonder how many other visitors we have to our pond that we are unaware of.”

The nearest I’ve got to Grey Wagtails at my pond is one sitting on the roof (they are around: we have a stream, their preferred habitat, about 200 m away).

Any other good garden pond bird sightings out there? Let me know.
