Colin (see the comments) has posted a great set of pictures of progress with his new pond.
I’m going to feature a few of them here but just to start with I thought it would be nice to use this classic frog picture because it’s such a great photo.
The picture will load a bit more slowly than usual to get a good resolution.

As we are almost ready to start filling our new pond and hoping for rain, I am wondering what effect, if any, there might be from the Icelandic volcano as there was discussion this morning on the radio about dissolved particles in rainfall causing deaths in an earlier (18th century) eruption. Not that there is much one could do about it …
