Help – don’t get me out of here (I’m not a celebrity, I’m a dull looking grass)

Creeping Bent - a great habitat for your pond edge

The edge of your pond is a vital area for wildlife.

And this dull looking grass is one of the most vital plants. It’s Creeping Bent (known to botanists as Agrostis stolonifera) and is one of the commonest wetland plants at the margins of ponds, though most people barely notice it.

Its common in lawns (if they’re not too manicured) – all you need to do is let it grow. Just don’t pull it out.
